Getting Started

What is Owner’s Center?

The Owner Center is a Web site for car care enthusiasts developed by Armor All® and a growing roster of corporate sponsors like STP. The goal of the site is to provide you with knowledge, tools, and promotions that will help you improve the appearance and performance of your vehicles. We also are building a community of do-it-yourselfers who can exchange tips and other information about Car Care. If you haven’t done so already, we encourage you to view the demo on the home page to learn more about how this site works.

How do I register?

To register, simply click here and complete the registration form. Each registrant must have a unique e-mail address. E-mail addresses cannot be shared between accounts. Please take the extra time to complete the optional marketing questions. This helps the Owner Center better understand our members and build a better program, based on their needs and preferences.

The site seems broken to me.

It may appear broken because you may not the latest version of the Flash® application loaded on your computer. To download Flash 8, click here. It’s a fast and easy download that updates your Web browser.

Unique e-mail address

To register as an Owner Center member, you will need a unique e-mail address. A unique e-mail address is defined as an e-mail address that you personally can access, and is not used in anyone else’s Owner Center registration. The benefits of the Owner Center program are for individuals. Therefore, more than one person cannot use the same e-mail account, as the Owner Center is designed to keep the individuality and confidentiality of each person registered. Duplicate uses of e-mails will not be permitted. If you do not have an e-mail address, you can simply register for a free e-mail account at any one of the following providers: Hotmail.com, Yahoo.com, Mail.com. Please follow the instructions carefully.

Why so many questions?

At time of registration we will be asking you several questions, including some mandatory and optional marketing questions. We would encourage you to answer as many optional questions as you feel comfortable with. The Owner Center uses this information to better understand our members’ needs and improve our program. All information is confidential and will not be shared with third parties. Click here to view our Privacy Policy.

How do I know I am registered?

Once you have completed the registration form and clicked the submit button, you will receive an e-mail in approximately ten minutes confirming your registration. The next time you return to the Owner Center Web site at www.aa-ownercenter.com simply log in on the home page with your user name and password.

How do I start a logbook for my car?

First, you need to register for the site, which you can do for free by clicking here.

Once you are registered, click on Logbook in the navigation bar. Once there, you can click on Add New Vehicle. This brings you to a page where you can enter information about your car and upload a photograph of it if you’d like. However, it is not necessary to add a photo in order to keep a logbook.

After you add a vehicle, the next time you return to the Logbook page it will be automatically displayed.

How do I manage and add tasks for my car?

After you have created a logbook for you car, click on Add Task Record and you’ll be brought to a page where you can:

  • Select a task from a menu of items
  • Select the task. You may also enter your own task
  • Enter the date of the task.
  • Enter the mileage
  • Enter the cost
  • Mark if it’s complete
  • Add any notes (e.g., reminder to check brake fluid level the next time.)

You can add as many tasks as you’d like, and also can edit them at any time.

Can I keep a logbook for more than one car?

Yes. When you return to the Logbook page, click on the Add New Vehicle link. You can add as many vehicles as you’d like, and they will be displayed automatically on the Logbook page.

What is that module on the left-hand of the page?

The module on the left-hand side of the page displays relevant information depending on where you are in the site. If you have started to keep a Logbook, the module will display an image of your car (if you have uploaded one) and a link to view tasks you have listed. If you have started a Logbook for more than one car, you can use the pull-down menu to display your other vehicles.

When you’re in the Logbook section, you will receive more detailed image of your car in the module, including miles, costs, and recent event history in the Car Care section, if a new Tips ‘n Tricks has been added you will be notified of that in the module. In Community, you will have links to update your profile, view your posts, or update the forums to which you are subscribed.
