cigar1, Cedar Rapids, IA asks
Q: How do I clean a fabric convertible top that has streaks and has been treated with Scotchguard®?
Rich White, Aftermarket Expert
A: Start by cleaning the top with a convertible top cleaner, specifically made for this purpose. Depending on when the fabric protectant was applied, and the extent of the streaking, it may take several applications of the cleaner to get the top's appearance to improve and for the color to appear more uniform. Follow the top cleaner's directions on how to best apply and distribute the cleaner. Once the top's appearance has been restored, apply a convertible top protectant.
